Scuba IQ offers a personalised and comprehensive Open Water Diver course, teaching both PADI and SDI certifications. Designed for beginners, this three-day program provides a safe and supportive environment to master the skills needed to dive with a buddy to a maximum depth of 18 metres, anywhere in the world. The course begins with eLearning, allowing students to complete dive theory at their own pace. Once in Port Douglas, participants spend the first day practicing essential skills in the pool. The next two days are spent on the Great Barrier Reef, completing the required four open water dives for certification. To enhance the experience, we include two additional dives on the final day, allowing extra time to explore the reef under expert guidance. No prior experience is needed, as our experienced instructors, each with over 20 years of teaching expertise, guide students through dive planning, equipment use, problem management, and underwater communication. With a focus on private groups, Scuba IQ ensures personalised attention and a pace that matches each student’s comfort level.
