Explore the bush and the bay of Bouddi Peninsula during wildflower season This small-group walking adventure takes you through lesser-known parts of Bouddi National Park and the seaside villages of Killcare, Pretty Beach and Wagstaffe. Your walk begins by ascending through towering angophora forest that comes alive with colourful wildflowers in spring and summer, including the Flannel Flower or ‘Federation Star’ – chosen as the New South Wales floral emblem for the Centenary of Federation (1901-2001). As the eucalypts disappear, lower heathland and coastal vegetation provide endless photo opportunities of the commanding views which stretch as far as Sydney on a clear day. After your descent you’ll enjoy a light lunch at a local café and then it’s a gentle meander back to Wagstaffe.
