There are few better places to be than watching a sunset whilst cruising on the Daintree River! Late afternoon cruises are often spectacular, watching crocodiles and birds foraging before nightfall. Advantages of cruising in the late afternoon include avoiding the heat of the day, as well experiencing the splendour of the golden light late in the day, hopefully before a colourful sunset. Cruises are a holistic experience, seeking out key birds, snakes and crocodiles, as well as insight into the ecology of the Daintree. Cruises are two hours in duration. For about half the cruise, the vessel is powered by a commercial quality outboard, allowing an intimate quiet exploration of the river and smaller tributaries. Additionally the use of the electric outboard reduces wildlife disturbance resulting in outstanding wildlife observations.
