The Boyne Burnett Inland Rail Trail, once fully complete, is set to become the longest rail trail in Australia at over 270km. The tour begins at the southern end where the trail follows the Burnett River most of the way into Mundubbera. Later the journey continues north of Monto with a cycle along the northern section from Kalpower to Builyan. The tour also includes a detour cycle to the historic Glassford Chimneys and a loop ride around the charming town of Monto. To celebrate the end of the cycle tour enjoy a local community event ‘Tunnels by Twilight’ beginning with grazing platters to whet your appetite. The afternoon continues with an 11km cycle along a section of the northern trail through six tunnels. To finish the day enjoy a 2 course country dinner provided by the Kalpower hall committee.
