This Guided Walking Tour is for those who wish to enjoy a local's knowledge of this lovely part of the Flinders Ranges. Quorn is not just a place to drive through to get to somewhere else. It is rich in history and considered the capital of the native bush food scene. To celebrate and acknowledge this regions long history with bush foods the inaugural Quandong Festival was held this year in Quorn on Nukunu country. As part of this tour you will visit the Pithi Kawi Bush Food Garden and Trail, learning about some of the bush foods including the Quandong. Follow the footsteps of the soldiers who traveled to and from Darwin during WWII and the wonderful women of Quorn who provided over 500 meals per day to them. We will visit the historic buildings of Quorn and learn about their interesting and surprising past. The old saying "if only these walls could talk!" comes alive on this tour!
