The Kookaburra 200 is a challenging day ride or can be made into a great overnighter with camping in Warra National Park. You'll reach 1,400m on this ride so be prepared. Even in summer, conditions can get cold very quickly. Take appropriate wet weather gear and a warm jacket at any time of year. In winter, you could easily find yourself in minus 10 so make sure you've got a few layers. Water is generally easy to find at various creek and river crossings (filter and purify) although in times of drought, you can only rely on filling up in Guyra and (unless it's really dry) on the Sara River. Expect an even split between gravel and bitumen, with very little traffic on bitumen. Don't underestimate the elevation! RWGPS says about 3000m but it's more like 3500. You'll feel it!
