Fly from Perth to the unique Kalgoorlie. Explore this historic mining town in Australia's Golden Outback. View Perth to the North as they head East out over a forest area that stretches as far as the eye can see. After around 20 minutes the ocean of green forest gives way to farmland. Here the farms are mainly used for wheat crops and sheep pasturing. During winter, it is a patchwork of green with the occasional river and Salt Lake. However, in summer we see the iconic burnt, parched, Golden Outback that Western Australia is famous for. Atfer the vast farming area, arrive at Kalgoorlie to explore the historic mining town and one of the open-cut mines. Lunch is included at one of the restaurants/cafes in town. After time exploring, head back to Perth, flying back over the super pit.
