Ready for an adventure? Follow their kids activity trail and explore some of the State Library’s most iconic spaces and see unique treasures like our giant marble Tasman Map. Head up to the Paintings Gallery and surround yourself in over 300 artworks from the Library’s collection. While you wander around you can listen to our Kids’ Audio Guide – created by kids, for kids. Wander over to the Objects Gallery to play a game of ‘I Spy’ and get up close to 1,000 intriguing items from the Library’s collection, from bird whistles and convict chains, to ear trumpets and molten glass.   Take a time machine back to Tudor England and discover thousands of books by and about Shakespeare in our Shakespeare Room! Don’t forget to look up at the decorated ceiling to find mermen, mermaids, dolphins and roses.
