After a hearty breakfast at one of Goondiwindi's cafés, follow the rail west to your first station of the day, the Toobeah Railway Station. The original station was built in 1913, however the small timber building you can see today was relocated from Passmore near Stanthorpe in 1964 when the original burnt down. Continue your journey westward, through the railway village of Bungunya. Like many other rural towns, the Bungunya railway station has closed due to improved transport services. The last stop on our train journey is the Talwood Train Station – the original railway station building can be found at the Talwood Recreation Grounds. Before you continue along to the Balonne Region, call into the Talwood Pub for a scrumptious counter meal, or if caravanning/camping, set up camp at the Talwood Recreation Grounds for camping at the cost of a donation.
