District Council of Copper Coast

Copper Coast holds three towns built almost entirely by Cornish immigrants during the 1860s copper boom, Moonta, Kadina and Wallaroo together forming what's still known as the Copper Triangle. Moonta keeps the deepest heritage of the three, mine ruins and heritage cottages dense enough to earn it the nickname Australia's Little Cornwall. Wallaroo anchors the coast with its own working port history, grain silos and jetty standing where copper ore was once shipped out. Kadina rounds it out inland, wide streets built for a mining boom that shaped the whole district.
