Geelong & the Bellarine

Geelong grew rich on wool, and the National Wool Museum tells that story inside a genuine 19th-century bluestone store still standing in the old port precinct. Eastern Beach keeps the city's Art Deco waterfront intact, a heritage swimming enclosure built right into the bay itself. Out on the peninsula, the Bellarine Rail Trail follows an old train line through vineyards and quiet coastal towns rather than city streets. Point Lonsdale adds its own landmark further along, a working lighthouse above a genuine blowhole carved into the cliffs.
