The Wet Tropics of Queensland has a huge variety of fungi species! We are fortunate to have consistent mushrooms such as Stinkhorns (Phallus species), Polypores, Fans, Brackets, Boletes, Ascomycetes (zombies), Corals, Birdnest fungi and Slimemolds all waiting to be seen and photographed. This is the only specialised mushroom and fungi photography walking tour in Australia. Bridgette has spent hundreds of hours in the gardens learning the many locations and cycles of the fungi kingdom. Her huge collection of photographs is a testament to the vast amount of fungi on offer for you to capture some photographs of your own. The tour will be a leisurely stroll through the gardens taking time to see and photograph these beautiful lifeforms. Photography equipment is not required, however we do offer specialised macro photography equipment for Beginners, Intermediate and Advanced. Tour participants can also capture amazing shots using a smartphone.
